The moment pumpkin spice lattes become available at Starbucks, summer quickly morphs into fall in the festive household. All of the baked pumpkin goods, hot cider, and the smell of an outdoor fire on a chilly day just brings a smile to my face thinking about it! We love all things fall.

Our home is fairy neutral and I wanted to highlight that in this year’s dining room tablescape with some warm touches of peach and aqua.

I typically use eucalyptus and lamb ear garlands year round. They are great staples that play off each changing season. I mixed in my current garlands with two neutral fall garlands I got half off from Michaels. While shopping at Michaels, I spotted these darling green and blue hued pumpkins that went along perfectly with our home decor. Thankfully, many craft stores have their seasonal fall pieces 40% off so it is easy to stay both festive and frugal with seasonal pieces.

Once the garlands were picked out, I added pumpkins into my glass stands and arranged them with a mix of candlesticks and votives on the table. Simply weave your garlands around your focal points and add in sprigs of loose eucalyptus here and there until full. Michaels also had some pretty pumpkin picks I arranged in a mix and match fashion I typically adore.

Hobby Lobby has wonderfully priced chargers year round. I always love to add a simple charger that I can mix and match around various holidays. The aqua hued chargers were originally $2.99 and were marked 40% off. My husband’s grandmother’s white and gold rimmed china is do special to us. Using those meaningful pieces in a place that isn’t in a high traffic area adds that cozy and homey feel to your decor so it feels like that curated look I love which is like home to me.

Light the candles and enjoy the perfectly cozy Fall tablescape to share hospitality and love with friends and family.

Now for the most important part… pumpkin cake! Good food and good company pair together like peanut butter and jelly. I adore a fabulous seasonal treat so my daughter and I baked an easy to make four layer pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing to perfectly compliment the fall tablescape.

Are you ready for the recipe?! It is so simple and makes a big statement with the crowd! Here is the recipe, friend!

Pumpkin Cake: Mix together 1 box of spice cake mix, 1 can pumpkin puree, 2-3 eggs, & a dash of nutmeg, all spice and clove. Bake as directed on the box in a cake pan. I baked my cake in 6” pans for 30 minutes at 350F. Let it cool. Assemble and ice with cream cheese icing. Lastly, add sprinkles from Sprinkle Pop Shop on top! {Now to get that four layer look, you will need to double the recipe and bake two cake pans at a time}

The cake sat nicely on a wooden beaded cake stand I scored for 50% off at Hobby Lobby. I love white and wooden dishes that you can use all of the time! They are fantastic investment pieces you will use time and time again.

Fall is a time of changing leaves, good food, and fresh starts. I love how new seasons signify new beginnings. The warmth and cozyness that fall provides is the perfect setting for yummy pumpkin goodness and joy at the table with endless conversations with loved ones.

My wish for you today is that you leave here feeling inspired and happy for the fall joys that await us.
